Our design reading: start with everyday movements

Here, walls were removed and an outdoor entry enclosed to reorganize the kitchen. Our reading is that circulation deserves attention before decoration. Trace the everyday route between arrival, storage, preparation and seating. Where do people cross paths? Which surfaces attract clutter? What needs to stay within reach?

For your own project, write those observations into the brief before choosing a cabinet color. A beautiful reference image can establish a mood, but it cannot establish whether a layout fits your household. The more useful question is what the room should make easier.

Apply the same exercise to a bathroom: consider the morning routine, private and shared activities, towels and toiletries. Treat the inspiration as a conversation starter, not a plan to copy. Dimensions, existing conditions and professional assessment should guide your decisions.
